Engage citizens in data generation and ground-level reporting. Empower them by including their voices in high level decision-making and ensuring contextualized two-way messaging between beneficiaries and the programme. Our citizen reporting platforms allow school children to report on WATSAN conditions in school premises, hence holding school authorities accountable. A tripartite initiative between mPower, BRAC and Save the Children called the Child Abuse Portal was launched in response to widespread child abuse reports across Bangladesh in the past year. The platform combines web and social media interfaces that connects neighbours and citizens to relevant authorities so immediate action can be spurred when incidents are eported by witnesses. This data also populates a public incident map and database that decisionmakers and authorities can use to guide security updates and governance.
